Piezoresistivity Measurement Setup for ceramic Scratch built from Automobile Valve Spring Tester
When a material changes its resistance upon application of loading/stress, it is called piezoresistive materials. Ceramic materials are brittle in nature, so they can't withstand high loads similar to metals. Also, for the piezoresistivity measurement requires a significant amount of surface area or materials to be tested. A miniature setup could save both material costing and resolution of the test.

I have custom designed, built a piezoresistivity measurement setup capable of providing high resolution data from a valve spring tester. The piezoresistivity measurement tool is equipped with a slide callipers to record the deformation of the sample under loading, a weighing scale to measure the applied load.
